[There's a long pause before he answers and first, it's only a small huff that's almost like a wry laugh, then another, briefer pause before actual words follow:]

It's funny. No one's ever cared that much about me before this place.

You know? Mitsuhide expresses that same concern a lot. That's a funny thing you two have in common.

Yeah. Did you think the name was just for show?

I trained two Ghost Types. They're born in the spirit world; it's a very cruel place, all the evil and violent spirits are locked up there.

So, even when they move over to our world, they don't have the same way of thinking, morals, or even feeding habits.

—so, yes, like us. I think if you took in others from my world, particularly those afraid of Ghost Types, they'd take this situation harder than I have.

My, you get worked up easily. [Can a voice be described as smug? Because his absolutely was.] It wasn't a negative association, not at all.

—they're my favourite type.

They have very unique abilities, casting illusions, drawing out an opponent's fears and paralyzing them with it... cursing and sealing attacks... the ability to render an opponent completely helpless— I like it.

I think they're more honest, too. I like that they don't deny their natures. They don't have to pretend to be good and aren't interested in it. The world is cruel sometimes and so are they— and it isn't wrong, just the way they naturally are.

[Sorry for the pretentious preteen, Rin, but you had to ask.]

... that's strange, how do you know there are so many? [... he didn't mention that, did he? Must have been one of the other trainers.]
