[ Oh dammit, what is he supposed to do with all these feelings right now? There's a heavy dose of guilt as well as general confusion, that is probably changing that white ribbon to a black one. Whatever. He'll do his best to try to eat these chocolates with as much determination as possible. Which is necessary since he's not the biggest fan of sweet things. But he will appreciate them! ]
[ After receiving a new amulet earlier on in the day and snapping out of his moody apathetic state, Atsushi had this huge wave of guilt wash over him, and it wasn't going to stop until he apologized. He looked and asked around until he found out where Rin lived and knocked on the door.
When Rin answered the door he'd find a neatly wrapped box sitting on the ground and Atsushi right beside it bowing all the way to the ground. ]
[ Rin isn't sure whether he should be more confused to see the person at his doorway or the gift on the ground. He had heard here and there about the stolen amulets and the negative effects and been trying to discern how much of the crappy behavior he'd experienced the other week could be blamed on that and how much was just sucky people or people having sucky days. As he still hasn't figured out where to place Atsushi, he stares at him with blinking eyes. ]
E-even still... I-I knew I wouldn't be able to rest at all until I apologized to you.
[ And with that he picked up the box and held it up to Rin. Inside was a big container of spicy seafood curry. He remembered him saying how his friend liked fish, so he thought it'd be something he could eat together with Haru. ]
[ Rin decides to open the box to see what Atsushi is talking about and is honestly stunned to see the choice of entree. Was Atsushi really paying that much attention during their network chat the other day? Both to nail his preferred style and Haruka's. He can't say he was doing the same. ]
[ Atsushi can't help it. He's the housewife and the motherhen of his group of friends. He latches onto things they like out of habit. He wasn't really sure if Him and Rin were close enough to be considered friends, but he'd like to be someday.]
[ There was no name on the package at all except for Rin's. It was sitting out in front of Rin's home waiting to be opened. When he did manage to open it, he'll find a rather cute bear hat that looks much like this creature and lying next to it in the box was two small plush toys that matched the hat. A pink one and a yellow one. ]
Rin should probably be getting used to seeing random packages at his door by now, but he's still puzzled to find this one. He brings it inside and opens it with his usual care, only to scrunch his face in confusion when he beholds its contents.
"A fairy bear?" Who would give him something that bizarre?
If he hadn't discovered it on his step, he would have assumed Haruka. Haruka has some weird attraction to odd-looking mascots.
Does this mean there's someone else just as strange out there?
Nonetheless, a gift is a gift. So both plush toys are probably getting propped on the dining table.
[Happy Holidays! The Mysterious GOKAI CHRISTMAS has gifted you with an exchange present that is the following:]
A regular-sized mood ring taped to the inside of a giant hollow cardboard box. The box is wrapped in solid pink paper. Any tears in the wrapping would reveal a blank brown box (i.e. no indicators of what's inside.)
(The mood ring would change based on the colors of the Arehtei)
Rin examines the ring once it's removed from its packaging. He holds the box at various angles to see if the sender wrote their name anywhere. But it seems to be a total mystery.
He knows he should probably be more cautious in this place. It's not uncommon for strange objects to come with unexpected emotional effects. But Rin's never been able to resist a little bling. So onto his middle finger it goes, starting off with a soothing, soft pink hue.
[Rin is going to have to deal with a wyvern sneaking into his room. Not that the sneaking is super 'successful' with the bells he was wearing and well, other baby wyvern noises. He's not the subtle type to say the least.]
[Though Malenzio was more interested in pets, food, and finding where Same was, there was a letter addressed to Rin in his backpack. Good luck on pulling it out.]
It felt like it's been awhile since we last talked, but I want you to have this. It's the least I can do for helping me get through things.
- Emizel
[In the letter was a bright shell on a necklace that shined multiple colors depending how the light hit it. Emizel had many of these collected during Helisium and he liked the way they looked. Plus he had other reasons for handing them out to as many people as possible. Think of it as a good luck charm!]
It's probably going to be Same who snags the letter first, eager to greet her friend. But the ruckus between the two cavorting dragons eventually wakes Rin up so he can recover the package from Same, who immediately darts away with it, convinced they're starting some new game.
After several minutes and a few trips under every piece of furniture in the apartment, Rin seizes the letter and is able to open it, while Same sulks to the side. Pushing back his sweat-stained and now disheveled hair, Rin starts reading the letter, smiling at he gets to the end.
He lifts out the shell and accompanying necklace and gives a soft chuckle, as he fastens it around his neck.
[ on the 24th, Rin will find a box addressed to him on the front porch of his home. Inside was a bright red handknitted sweater with a heart on the front of it. ]
merry Christmas, Rin-kun.
Please keep warm over the holidays and have a wonderful day.
If you thought, Rin wouldn't walk about town wearing a scarf with a heart on it, you'd be very very wrong. Rin is probably even wearing said scarf when he shows up knocking at Atsushi's door a day or so later.
Rin is both touched and surprised to open the package that morning, especially since goggles are one of his all-time favorite presents. He spends the rest of the morning, scripting out a lengthy (and probably far too flowery) thank you note for Usagi while he waits for Haruka to wake up. It will be accompanied by some sea bunny hair barrettes tucked inside the envelope.

I was completely out of line and if you don't wish to forgive me I completely understand, but I am extremely sorry!

[ Shizuo literally threw metal objects at his head and someone else pile-drove him into the ground, thinking he was a thief. ]
Besides, I could've reacted better. Anyway, don't worry about it.

[ He glances down at the box. Tch, it would probably just make Atsushi feel even more guilty if he outright refused it, huh? ]

[ He looks up at Rin with an awkward smile on his face. It was a little forced, but he didn't want to inconvenience Rin anymore than he already had. ]

A peace offering?

You really didn't have to do all this. I wasn't even that bothered...

Yeah, it's fine. I'll get Haru to make it later. He's better with fish.

[ And finally Atsushi was smiling again, so much so that a few clovers popped up above his head. ]
